Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi (Hindi: इंद्रप्रस्थ सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान दिल्ली, IIIT-D) is an autonomous university in Delhi, India.[1] It was founded as a State University[2] by an act of Delhi Government (The IIIT Delhi Act, 2007) in 2008, with seed support from the Government of NCT of Delhi.[3] It is a research-oriented university with focus on research at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

IIIT Delhi operates from the Library Building, NSIT where it occupies an area of 150,000 sq ft (14,000 m2). The institute will shift to its own 25-acre (100,000 m2) campus in Okhla by October 2011.[4]
IIIT-D offers three programs, an undergraduate B.Tech in information technology, a postgraduate M.Tech in computer science and Ph.D in computer science.[5]
IIIT-D held the first Indo-US Workshops on Developing a Research Agenda in Pervasive Communications and Computing Collaboration (PC3) in March 2011.[6]
IIIT Delhi is going to hold its first technical festival "ESYA" at its transit campus on 3–4 September 2011.[7]
Student clubs currently functioning at IIIT-D include the Community Work Club, Dance Club, Design Club, Ethical Hacking Club, Literary Club, Movie-making Club, Music Club, Robotics Club, Sports Club, Quiz Club, and Web Design and Development Club.[8]
